AusRotary Forum Melbourne Cruise 12-01-2003

Melbourne members of the AusRotary forum organised a great cruise for Sunday the 12th of January. With a lot of interest generated on the forum, the guys and girls met up at a TAFE carpark in Chadstone for a meet and greet session before heading out to the second stop at the Stamford Hotel in Mulgrave. It was quite a sight seeing around 30 rotors turning up in the carpark and the group certainly got the attention of onlookers. From there, the cruise weaved its way up to the lookout observatory at Mount Dandenong. While the sky was a bit hazy from the nearby bushfires, owners took time out to catch up, have a cool drink and enjoy the atmosphere. From the lookout, the cruise began to split up with some opting for the beaches of Melbourne (in the mid 30-degree weather) whilst others continued on to Sugerloaf Reservoir for the final cruise point.

There was a great turnout of cars, providing a wide variety of models ranging from RX-2's, RX-3's and RX-4's through to RX-7's from Series 1 to 6.

The Ausrotary forum has over 800 members from both Australia and around the world. With 'General', 'Technical', 'Events' and 'For Sale/Wanted' message boards, it is a great place to discuss rotaries, ask questions or sell/find parts and cars and best of all, it's free. You can find the forum here...

Thanks for James for supplying some of the photos from the cruise.
